Hello All-
Thank you for your patience last week. We did pretty well on our test, however- I will not be shaving my head this year... Close, but no bald English teacher. Thank you for all your efforts though. I have seen a lot of writing improvement, and it makes me very proud when I think of what our writing looked like last year :) Well done.
This week we will reconvene and figure out where everyone is with their reading. How do you like Freak the Mighty so far? How is this novel different from other novels we have read the past two years? How is it similar? Would you be interested in reading the sequel? Why or why not?

I really like Freak the Mighty. I don't know how it similar or different from other books, but, I think that the moral is live life to the fullest and never give up even if the going gets tough. I think as a class we should read Max the Mighty. I think it would be cool if we could watch the movie too.

Kolina, I think you have a really great point here. You can really see that theme emerge when you think of how Kevin lied his life and made decisions.
